Firefighter
This design document has been completely implemented into Ephemeral Space. All information here should be present in-game.
The Firefighter is a role focused on station atmospheric maintenance, specifically putting out fires and clearing lingering smoke. When the station is ablaze, they're the individual most ready to put out the flames with their advanced equipment, giving them a unique leg up. Additionally, their fireaxe (specialized for breaching) and light repair tools give them the ability to both break into and fix up areas affected by fires.
Hot Fashion
Their clothes consist of a loose-fitting brown workman jumpsuit with big Tobi trousers. Fire-red sneakers adorn their feet and a bandana wraps their hair back to keep it from burning. Unlike other jobs, they additionally spawn wearing a full gas mask that hides their face, giving them a uniquely threatening and suspicious aura.
Inside their locker, they also receive a full firesuit. Worn debuffs from the firesuit or gas mask will be nullified when worn by the firefighter, restoring normal move speed and vision radius. This encourages them to remain geared and vigilant in the event of a fire while simultaneously aligning them with the outfit.
Pyroeuphoria
The main tool at the firefighter's disposal for dealing with large fires is the backpack extinguisher. It consists of two parts: a large tank worn on the back as well as an attached extinguisher that can be brought in and out from the tank via an action. When the tank is worn, the attached extinguisher can be used indefinitely without needing to be refilled with water.
The secondary tool at the firefighter's disposal is their pyroeuphoria. When on fire, they will rapidly build the euphoria emotion, countering the downsides of their various fire equipment. This means that, despite the downsides that typically come from wearing various firefighting equipment, the firefighter is better suited to dealing with these due to their emotional high. Even more, the strong effects of pyroeuphoria enable them to make dangerous plays by leveraging the buffs they gain while on fire.
