Crewmember

Name: Crewmember

Troupe: Crew

Archetypes: Dud

Description: Serve as the platonic ideal of the crew.

Objectives: None.

Masquerade notes: Should be assigned with increasing frequency as player population goes up.

I'm the crewmember. What do you mean I'm "fake claiming?" What does that even mean??

Concept

The crewmember is the baseline member of the crew troupe and serves as a default mask for the game.

Abilities

The crewmember has no special abilities.

Gameplay

As a baseline role, the crewmember is the most "safe" to other players but is simultaneously the easiest mask to pretend to be. Since there is almost certainly a crewmember at any population level, pretending to be one is almost certainly a safe claim that cannot be immediately disproven.

As a game piece, the mask highlights the best element of the crew troupe: ambiguity. There's no clear way to sus out what a crewmember really is, so they become a constant question mark. Are they really who they say they are, or are they just a traitor lying low?
